2 Corinthians 4:13
(TNIV ) says, “It is written: “I believed; therefore I have spoken.”
Since we have that same spirit of faith, we also believe and therefore
speak...”
What we believe,
positive or negative, good or bad, shapes our lives. Therefore unbelief should always be silenced. Luke 1:20 (TNIV)
says, “Now you will be silent and not able to speak until the day this
happens, because you did not believe my words, which will come true at their
appointed time.” The tongue, not ready to speak the language of
faith, was struck dumb.
The phrase spirit of faith means “attitude or
outlook of faith.” Paul is encouraging that attitude of faith that ought to
belong to every believer every day and in every situation. Our confidence
in God is anchored by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. In
other words, if Jesus can defeat death, He certainly can defeat anything in
life! Faith must be given a voice.
Doubt sees the obstacles.
FAITH sees the way!
Doubt sees the darkest night,
FAITH sees the day!
Doubt dreads to take a step.
FAITH soars on high!
Doubt questions, “Who believes?”
FAITH answers, “I!”
